Cuban Artist
Angel Alonso Blanco was born in the city of Havana, Cuba on March 6, 1967. He has one son, Siam, who is five years old and lives with his mother.
Angel is consumed with his art and the world that it takes him into. He has had solo exhibitions in Havana, Sweden, New York and New Jersey. He has also held collective shows in Havana, New York, New Jersey and Sweden.
His paintings and articles about his shows have been published in different Art magazines such as Art Nexus, International Edition of Art in Columbia, August 1992 and Heterogenesis, Sweden, January 1999.
He has been a juror of different events like the Salon of the City in Havana, the Digital Art Salon of Havana, the first and second edition of the CLIC Foundation Digital Salon in El Salvador, and others. Angel also writes as a critic of art for CLIC Foundation web site.
He has participated with audiovisual work, animations and videoart in different audiovisiual events such as the movie festival of Locarno, Switzerland in 2003.
